May. 8th, 2006 08:54 amI watched Grizzly Man last night on DVD. Its a documentary about the life and death of unorthodox naturalist Timothy Treadwell. I am still a bit haunted by it. Its well worth watching, it contains most of his amazing footage. I particularly loved the bit where he pets and talks to the wild fox. Whether or not what he was doing was right or wrong remains disputed,he was clearly mentally unstable, and I must admit I felt torn after watching this film. But whatever the outcome, we should respect his wish to preserve nature and the creatures within it.
