Moths! (real ones)
Sep. 21st, 2009 11:07 amI found out this morning that you can actually purchase Madagascar Moon Moth caterpillars and cocoons online.
Since I'm a beginner, I think I will start with 2 cocoons. I aim to purchase them and a net cage and heat mat. The other good thing is the adult moths never feed during their short lifespan so I won't have to worry about that. When they naturally die I can study them and draw them up close.
Squee! I'm feeling a lot better today.
Raising something will keep my brain occupied and the beauty of them cheers me up.
P.S. Eek! Just had a thought-Dave! Please don't use the bug spray anytime soon! Not that we'll need to much in winter.
