a familiar face

I haven't drawn a Potoo in a while, and building up the portfolio with scientific illustration seemed like a good opportunity to do so. (Fear not! I am still working on commissions and will post progress pics soon- just juggling a lot at the moment.) I'm thinking of replacing the text with another stipple drawing of the Potoo in camouflage pose. These things are so amusing to draw. They remind me of muppets when their mouths are open.

In other news nadriel and I were watching University Challenge last night when lo and behold one of the contestants from Durham announced they were "studying for a PhD in poetry and climate change." Apparently people on twitter noticed it too. We had the exact same reaction as this guy.
