I've seen this ad many times and thought it was cool. I always think more stop-motion animation is a good thing. However, i forgot to mention I recently found out how it was made. While at Espresso, there were always lots of animation magazines lying around and one them had an article about the ad in it. I had always assumed they had used computers to superimpose the stop motion onto the live action. WRONG. Every single bunny in that ad was animated pose by pose, which means they made thousands of models and animated them in the streets of New York. How frigging awesome is that? Even the giant bunny is replacement animation.

Oh how I want to see this. It doesn't come out until 2009 though.

It's all stop motion, and shot stereoscopically, which means it has a dual digital camera rig so there can be showings in 3D. This is another thing that's slipped through my fingers, since I remember Gareth Richards from Mackinnon and Saunders telling me that they were going to work on a movie based on the book. I didn't have enough experience anyway.:P

Click here to watch some of the animation. God, it looks divine

P.S. This journal is now not friends only again, though only friends can comment, and most posts are friends only anyway.

Pics from my end of year show. I had a panic attack about an hour beforehand, but once there I had some fizzy water and looked at the artwork. It made me feel better. (left to right, my Uncle Will, Aunt Millie, my mum and me.

More behind the cut )

Have a drink for me later. You all deserve it for putting up with my wibbling for so long. But yeah, the trailer is finished. Those of you who are coming to my end of year show can see it on the big screen. For those still wanting invitations, email me.

And thank you to everyone for the congrats and support. Man. It feels good to finally be able to relax!!

I've coloured hundreds of frames in the past week and I have about the same amount to do.My personal deadline is Monday. The college deadline is Wednesday. Going mad! Not to mention I have three more scenes to clean up. Sigh. Off for a walk now. I think I've earned it.:P

Some coloured animation, sans background. Now to start on the scene with the clueless Satanists.

ETA: frozen all comments til further notice. I have a head ache.

About 120 frames of clean up done this week. Now all I need is to clean up the backgrounds (i.e. the table and props) and it's ready for colouring.
